    By OnTopic | December 3, 2009

Would you like to proactively learn how to write a book and make money from it?

It is estimated that only one in twenty authors become a bestseller.

What’s worse is that around one in a hundred authors actually make any significant money from their book . In fact most authors find it very hard to get back what they’ve invested.

How does that 1% do it? Even more important, can you become one of the few?

They’ve discovered the formula for how to write a book, publish it, get it on the bestseller lists and earn lots of money.

It isn’t just a lucky strike, because some are able to do repeatedly.

There are many factors to writing a successful book, but I would like to focus on the three most important factors to successfully writing a bestseller and making money from it.

If you learn and implement these factors, you could get an extra6 to 7 figures of income from each book you write in the future.

Key Factor 1 – Turn your book into a business so that each book has great products that go with it.

Your book is more than a lot of paper and ink. Your book communicates your knowledge in a familiar format that others can enjoy and use. You’ll have a far greater level of success when you realize that you can transfer the same information in other acceptable ways that sell just as well. When you’re thinking about your next book, proactively plan out your other products so that your book fits into your business in an intentional way. Not only will have a very extra system of marketing, but also additional income streams, because the book sells everything and everything sells the book.

Key Factor 2 – When writing your book, add in all of the essential components and most of the desirable ones, and you’ll find your book is much easier to promote, market, and sell.

There are a few ingredients which cannot be ignored when creating a bestseller, and some of them must be included from the start. There are also some very desirable features which increase the marketability and value of your book. For instance, you must have an ISBN number and a bar code, plus certain bindings and features so that retail stores can sell your book for you. There are also about 10 features that make your book much easier to sell. Some features that all New York Times Bestsellers have in common are: captivating stories that make a point, relevant quotes, testimonials, resources listings, and an index.

Key Factor 3 – Proactively begin your book sales while writing your book and control pre-sales to the fullest extent possible so that you’ll know where your books are going to be purchased and when.

You need to learn what it takes to make your book a bestseller. For instance, not all sales of books count toward becoming a bestseller and it’s extremely important to know which ones don’t. Keep your attention to only those that matter and compress the sales during an appropriate span of time and if you have done your homework and created the right sale quantities you’ll have a guaranteed winner.

ACTION POINT: If you need help to know how to write and publish a book that produces revenue and becomes a bestseller, then you must use the secret formula that others use to successfully reach that goal. Choose to use the Key Factors outlined above and keep your eye on the ball, and you’ll hit a home run every time.
