A Little Change at a Time

    By OnTopic | May 18, 2010

My career of being a Medical Transcriptionist. That sounds really nice. Especially for a stay-at home mom of three. What a great change that would be for me. I am 31 years old. I have made some mistakes in my life. Dropping out of college 11 years ago was one of them. I realize my mistakes now. I haven’t had many opportunities to go back to college. I was majoring in Criminal Justice. That was my passion. All of that changed when I was told my 5 year old twin boys were Autistic. I was devastated after hearing the news. After that my interests went to the medical field. Of course I just can’t go to be a Dr. I can start off somewhere in the medical field. Being a Medical Transcriptionist will get my foot in the door. It may lead me to other opportunities in the Medical field. Also, having Autistic children is isn’t cheap.

They have special needs I have to accommodate for. I can’t just go get a job. My twins go to school in life skills classes but it doesn’t allow me to be able to work. I couldn’t just stick them in any daycare. I have to be able to my jobs typing work home with them when they are sick or out of school or whatever their need may be. I need a job that gives me the freedom I need to be with my boys. I also have a 10 year old little girl that needs me around. She is very smart and is in many activities. This would allow me to be with her and to see her every achievement. Also, My husband’s job pays very little and he is always gone. My being able to work at home will help the whole family. We won’t just be barely over the water but living comfortable. I will still have time for my family’s needs. Medical transcription jobs will also be something I enjoy and not just a job that I have to do. SN:1MA0N2ESY

By researching this company I have read many advantages to my career goals. The many scholarships it offers is exceptional. It has every class I need to get my MT career going. This school has excellent reviews and many people have recommended Future MT. They seem to be very happy with the results. I would like to become a medical transcriptionist and be a part of the big medical industry. I know it’s just a step in the medical door but I will push my way through and excel into something bigger. In 10 years I might have solved a big part of the Autism puzzle. I might go into Genealogy, behavior science, neurology there’s no limit to what might accomplish! I’m very strong willed and ready for any challenge that may come my way. I would love the opportunity to become a medical transcriptionist. I have the time for the online classes. I am home all day with no interruptions. My kids all go to school until 3pm. I am very good at meeting deadlines. Having deadlines is a motivator for me. If you give me this scholarship I know you will be pleased with my performance and loyalty to sticking with my educational goals.
