Is Clairvoyance Easy To Develop?
By OnTopic | January 27, 2010
Can anyone lean the skills of clairvoyance? Actually, it is possible for everyone to learn a certain modicum of skill in this power. However, it is important to define exactly what clairvoyance refers to and what we mean by the ability to learn it.
First, let’s define the term clairvoyance. There are many different definitions for this term, and it really depends on who you ask. One of the most common definitions is that you need to learn about remove viewing, that is, being able to see things as they happen from a distance without the use of tools or your five senses. It might also be described as the ability to see in the the future, which is referred to as precognition. Essentially, it means being able to know information that is gathered in a method beyond that of your five senses. This makes clairvoyance the elusive sixth sense.
There are definitely people out there who have amazing clairvoyant powers. They can see, hear, feel smell or even taste things that are beyond the normal human reach or they might be able to predict past or future events that there was no way that they would know through other means. The truth is that though this phenomena do happen, there is no way for science to understand them. There are many metaphysical explanations for why these things happen, but there is no culture of dominant belief and many of these beliefs are contradictory. One thing that you will find is that it is generally believed that to have these powers, you must be born with it.
Although, it does take time and practice, anyone can learn remote viewing to see into the past and future. Anyone can learn how to develop clairvoyance.
To a certain degree, everyone has the sixth sense of clairvoyance. Most often, they know it as a gut feeling or intuition. These feelings are not easy to explain to others. Some examples include hearing someone say, ‘I feel we can trust this person’, or ‘This does not feel right to me.’ However, many people ignore their instincts and follow their emotions or their logic.
Science acknowledges the validity and existence of instincts and gut feelings to some degree. Nevertheless, they claim this is not a supernatural, paranormal or psychic ability. Psychologists believe this is a phenomenon of the subconscious mind that notices small details, and signals that the conscious mind overlooks. This type of information is translated by your subconscious mind into feelings that guide you. In order to develop your sixth sense of clairvoyance, you need to learn to use and trust you subconscious mind.
Whether paranormal psychic ability or brain chemistry is the origin of your powers is irrelevant. The main point to center on is the existence of clairvoyant abilities and how to hone them. Here are the three most common ways to do this:
1. Improve Your Perception
The daily grind of life often keeps many of us busy and we become unmindful of our surroundings. We may not notice the small details. However, the subconscious mind notices these things and then it forms gut feelings or intuition. By increasing your perception, you become aware of your surrounding. This provides your subconscious mind with the power it deserves to increase your sixth sense.
Don’t expect this to happen overnight though; you might be breaking the habit of a lifetime. Remember that you should start by slowing down a little bit and moving through your day in a more leisurely fashion. Second consider what distractions are a part of your day and remove them. This means that you should do things like turn off the radio when you are driving. When you don’t have anything distracting you, you’ll find that you are going to be more on target when it comes to looking at the things that are happening around you. This can be essential.
With this step, make sure that you try doing a mini-meditation. All you need to do is to shut your eyes, take a deep breath and force yourself to relax. When your eyes open, you will discover that you are taking in more about your environment, as if you were seeing it for the first time.
2. Meditate
Always seek to meditate at least 30 minutes a day. The purpose of such meditation is to open and clear the mind. This way, the subconscious will rise to the surface and communicate more clearly with the conscious mind. This way, a refreshed and relaxed state will yield better cognitive powers.
When you are thinking about meditation, though, you’ll discover that it is a lot easier said than done. You might find that you sit down and suddenly there are a number of things that are all calling for our attention. You might feel as though you are being silly or that you are doing it wrong. Remember that there are tools that can guide you, so take some time and focus and find a mantra.
Remember, when you try and meditate your senses distract you. All sounds and feelings will distract you if given enough power. Shutting down one?s senses is too difficult and that is why it is better to focus on something instead. Looking at a flickering candle flame is one such option since it will control your focus. Yes, this is a simple strategy but it works.
Remember that your conscious mind never shuts down. There is always something that you are thinking about. Focus your thoughts with the use of a mantra, which is a phrase, a poem or even a prayer that you will repeat over and over again in you head. It can help you focus and it can clear your mind very well. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as you can recite it without conscious thought. Some people will perform Hail Marys while other people prefer to use song lyrics that are inspirational to them. Take some time and really consider what might work for you.
3. Trust Your Instincts
In order to develop your clairvoyance you must trust your instincts. Never dismiss your feelings or try to second-guess yourself, while telling yourself that they hold no logical sense. Your instincts are important, since this is your subconscious mind showing you something that your conscious mind has dismissed.
Yes, these skills may be difficult at first but, over time, you will learn to listen to and trust your instincts. This will allow you to gain more confidence in them. The more your sixth sense grows stronger, the easier it is to trust it.
